Description
Build your own highly detailed 1960s-era spacesuit with these custom 3D-printed spacesuit connectors!Spacesuits for Apollo moon walkers had six large connectors on the front to connect to the backpack life-support system: O2 (Oxygen) in, Co2 out, water coolant, and communication/electrical. These color-coded connectors are what gave the spacesuits of the time their iconic look, and now they've been duplicated here, in metallic red, blue, and silver plastic. You also get 2 pairs of diverter valves (not shown.) They are the small devices outboard of the main connectors on the photo of the actual suit. You also get two wrist locks in red (left) and blue (right).
You can see from the picture of an actual Apollo suit that these connectors are a very good representation.
This kit contains
only
the connectors and wrist pieces, as shown in the first photo. A set of white coveralls (not included) would do for the suit itself; You can glue, sew, screw, or rivet the connectors to the suit front, and glue or zip-tie the wrist locks to the cuffs. The parts can be detail-painted for greater realism if desired. Each connector is about 3" in diameter and about an inch or so thick. The wrist locks have an inner diameter of about 3 1/2"- should fit over most hands.
Silly disclaimer, just in case: Not for actual space travel. Helmet, jumpsuit, Lunar Module, and Lunar surface not included, of course!
Made of custom 3D printed plastic: will show visible layer lines.
