    Description

    Modern Art Metal Work in Copper and Brass.  Nice patina. This metal work rendered in copper and brass is a free standing display that can be removed from the display and actually worn as a statement piece signifying man’s search for equality in a world where women are often seen as the victim and the victimization of man is overlooked.  What I know about the artist is that he was a solitary boat builder, welder, and metal worker, who suffered greatly after numerous failed relationships and tried to express his struggles through his art.  I bought this piece from him at a private sale in 1984 but never learned his name. I would assume that he has since passed on.
    When the piece is removed from the stand, there is a hinge at the back of the copper belt that can be opened up and the device can be worn.
